Every year I vow to devote my Christmas break time to being productive and every year I fail by sleeping in, binge watching Netflix & eating too much food! This year I will stick to my goals and utilize my time wisely. Today I sat down to think about what I actually wanted to accomplish this break and I came up with this lovely list;
- Study my pilates books; I received 3 amazing resource books from my handsome boyfriend and thoughtful sister. They have come to notice my fondness for Pilates, so why not encourage my growth by gifting me more material to study! I would like to take a few exercises a couple of times a week and really break them down and keep track of my ability as well as progress. I will be balancing on my head in no time!
- Finish reading my current book; I enjoy curling up with some coffee and a fuzzy blanket to get lost in a good read. This past year I have found I do not have as much time to do that. While I was on my trip to California last month I began reading a book I got for my birthday. I would like to finish this book over the break. I believe this will be a pretty easy task to accomplish since I am already halfway through and I am very eager to get back into it!
- Clean out storage bins and declutter room; I have a few bins under my bed that contain clothing that I have not worn in a very long time (I am talking possibly since high school...) I would like to go through these and actually take a look at what I would still wear. If I get all the bins cleaned out I would then attempt to attack my trunk in my room which is a house to odds & ends.
- Fall back in love with the gym; This past month I have found it hard to motivate myself to get to the gym and love it like I used to. I remember a time where I was so into going that I would set my clothing out the night before so all I had to do was roll out of bed, get dressed, brush my teeth and grab some food to go! Now I would love to get back into the swing of things and push myself to go even when I feel like 10 more minutes of sleep sounds like a better idea.
I am really hoping that I can focus on at least one of these every day during the break. Obviously there will be certain days that I will not be able to do so but I wont let that discourage me. I feel if I can conclude 2015 with finished tasks and start 2016 with new ideas and goals then my year will feel complete.
