Happy February everyone! I cannot believe how fast January flew by this year. It just seems like yesterday when we finished our Winter break and start back up living our normal lives. January was a great month of growth for me and my blog. Not only did I find my blogging voice but I also felt that I found more of a routine for me on the daily. This post shares a few things that I was loving in January, song and albums I kept on repeat, jewellery that never left my wrists, traditions that captures time and memories & ways I added more life to my wardrobe. I hope you enjoy the post!
I have not fallen in love with an album this much in a long time! I feel that I am listening to more singles from different artists than just full albums. During January I finally used my iTunes giftcard and purchased James Bay's album Chaos and the Calm. I am so glad that I did because I listen to it at least once a day! It feels as almost everytime I listen to this album I fall in love with another song. I do enjoy the more contemporary songs he creates over the rock but both are great. Here are some songs that I can't stop listening to;
- Hold Back The River
- Let It Go
- Move Together
- Incomplete (personal favourite currently)
Jewels I am Loving
Lately I have been wearing the same combo on my wrists everyday. A mixture of aesthetics, functionality and self betterment make the perfect collaboration for everyday.
- Ribbon elastics
- Daniel Wellington Watch
- Jawbone UP2
- Diamond ring passed down from my great aunt
I also wear my gold disk necklace from a local jeweller SonyaRoe to complete my look.
Since the beginning of our relationship my boyfriend and I have made the vow that every time we pass a photobooth we will take a second to create new photo memories.
Doing this is a fun way to keep memories and show the journey of our relationship. We have so much fun doing these photoshoots and I cannot wait to create more in the future. Who knows where we will use these; but I am just glad we started the tradition early!
A Gradient of Textures
We all know I love my black, white & grey tones in my wardrobe but switching things up by adding different textures makes the clothing less dull. Adding knits, laces, leathers and silks into my closet not only makes my closet look more diverse but it also makes an outfit multidimensional. When wearing all the same colour palette outfits tend to look drab, but pop in some lace and you look like a million bucks!
I am already starting a list of new loves for February (even though its only three days into the month). I feel that I am going to fall in love with what February brings. Lets continue to make this year amazing!
