Home Renovation Mood Board

If you have been following my instagram (Click here to follow) then you know that I recently got my Visa to live in the USA with my husband & step son. We bought our first home together a month ago and now that I am finally moving my stuff over I get to decorate and design the space like I've always dreamed.

I have a very minimalist style when it comes to home decorating and renovation ideas so when my husband and I decided to tackle renovations I knew it would be pretty simple as well as upgrade our home to a more modern feel.

We just started renovating our office this past weekend and if you saw my instagram story you saw the whole process of turning a plain wall like this...

into an updated accent wall like this! (TA-DA!)
*sorry for the awful quality (I took a screen shot from my instagram story video)

Now that we are on a home reno/decorating roll I thought I would share with you my mood board for our house! (PINTEREST INSPIRED)

All photos below I have pinned on my Home Decor board on Pinterest (I do not own any of the photos in my gallery below).

Looking forward to renovations and decorating all Summer long! What is your next reno/decor project!?

My current Home Mood Board

My Wedding Dreamboard

Up until the beginning of January I was totally clueless as to what I really wanted for our wedding and what my options were! All I knew is that I wanted a more intimate wedding with our close family and friends to celebrate the moment with us!

When all of the holidays ended and I had time to do some pinterest searching (which seriously turned out to be hours and hours of falling down a long dark wedding pins hole!), I finially decided on a few major details that I wanted for us!

I have gathered up some screenshots of some of my favourite wedding ideas and posted them below! I figured I needed a place to house all of the ideas I liked and a blog post sounded like the best plan.

I am super excited to sit down and start creating centerpieces for the tables as well as take a try at making the seating chart! Let me know if you have any helpful hints or ideas you think would work for us! I love the help! I have booked some of the wedding venues already and I am beyond excited for the planning process!

March Break Goals

March Break is the time if the year where I get a nice week to relax with no work and all the time to myself to recharge and stay motivated to move forward with all of my goals. I am very envious of everyone who is going away on an exotic trip for the week (who wouldn't love to be in a warmer climate?).

Even though I am not going anywhere exotic and warm I am going on a little trip for a few days with my boyfriend and a few friends (be ready for a vacation post). No matter how the weather ends up being for those days we have planned to go on a hike and spend our time outdoors. Which to be honest, I am so ready to disconnect myself from the online world for a day and spend my time with amazing people having amazing experiences.

My goals for this break are pretty simple;

  • I would like to stay with doing my #30DayPilatesBody March Challenge (I feel that I may lose a day here or there but I want to focus on attempting to do all of the days during my break!) I have yet to miss a challenge day! Its not to late to start if you want to join in on the challenge!
  • I would like to work on some DIY and pinterest hacks! I want to start my nightstand DIY as well as make another pinterest meal!
  • Since I will not be doing anything for work I want to stock my blog up with some new posts as well as give it some TLC. There are some things I have been meaning to fix or update and this would be the perfect time to do so!
  • Other than create great memories with friends and loved ones I want to try and capture them.. I was thinking about possibly not only taking photos of my experiences during the break but as well as a few videos. I would love to get my feet wet and jump into making some videos to post here on my blog!

I know these goals are pretty simple and easy to accomplish but we all know that when we get into relaxation mode even the easiest of tasks seems like pulling teeth!

If you have March Break next week I hope you have an amazing time doing things you love and creating memories with those you love!

Pinterest Meal: Do they turn out as good as they look?

Pinterest is such an amazing place where you can find so many ideas for all different things in life. The amount of inspiration for my future wedding or home live on boards that I pinned. I have recently wondered do these Pinterest hacks actually turn out? I decided to take things into my own hands and create something I found on Pinterest!

I wanted to start with something a little simpler... nothing to hard like a whole DIY project (which I do plan to attempt in the near future). I found this dinner pin

This pin didn't look to hard and I figured I would make it for my boyfriend to have for dinner the next few nights!

My Attempt;

To be honest this meal turned out looking great! I didn't garnish it with anything but my boyfriend added some red pepper flakes and loved it!

I definitely recommend this recipe and want to hear if you have tried it out!

This has made me feel more confident in myself with Pinterest hacks and I am ready to tackle my first furniture DIY this month, stay tuned!
